Classification Unit — Jigsaw Activity
This week in Science, we were introduced to the five classes of vertebrate: mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. In order to learn about each class more deeply, the students were divided into five groups and assigned one class of vertebrate. Within their group, they were responsible for researching the characteristics of the animals in their assigned class. As a way to convey the information learned, each group presented an oral presentation. As a whole class, we were able to piece together information regarding the 5 classes of animals.
